Located outside the Mazatlan International Center, it covers an area of ​​1,678.43 square meters. The structure is composed of 105 steel-reinforced concrete slabs, each measuring 5 by 3 meters, assembled with millimeter precision to form a unit measuring 24.56 meters high by 68.34 meters long.

This dish was prepared in a giant glass and took 16 hours of work to produce at the Mazatlan Convention Center. Its preparation involved 1,367 kilograms of shrimp, several liters of sauce made with onion, tomato, garlic, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.

 

It was in 2023 that Susana Reyes (official Guinness World Record certifier) ​​awarded Mazatlan certification for the remarkable feat of preparing the world's largest shrimp cocktail.

 

Mazatlan's third Guinness World Record was for the largest folk music band in the world.

 

In 2024, Mazatlán achieved its third Guinness World Record, this time for having formed the largest folk music band in the world, with the participation of 255 band musicians from different states.

 

The event took place in the city of Mazatlan on the Mazatlan seafront and was conducted by renowned Sinaloa band musician German Lizarraga, son of the legendary Cruz Lizarraga (considered the creator of the tradition of banda music).
