The Mazatlán International Carnival 2026 will take place from February 12 to 17, 2026, days during which the entire city is expected to come alive with nonstop celebration.

The official theme for this year’s carnival is “¡Arriba la Tambora!”, a vibrant tribute to rhythm, identity, and Mazatlán’s musical tradition. This theme is represented by the tambora—a large drum with two heads and a cymbal on top—which symbolizes the very heart of the carnival.

Everything is practically ready to experience this great Mazatlán celebration, which in 2026 will mark its 128th edition. Hundreds of national and international tourists are expected to arrive at Mazatlán’s hotels to enjoy the port’s biggest and most iconic festival.
